A LIVING ESCAPE
The Sunnyfield is a campsite for family and friends, owned and run by Philip & Sasha it has become a firm favorite of campers who return year after year since we opened our gates way back in 2014. Nestled in meadows in the North Kent Downs, and area of Outstanding Natural beauty,a mere 20-minute drive from Folkestone Harbor and the beaches, 15mins the Eurotunnel, and 20 mins from cathedral city of canterbury 30 minutes from Dover Castle, there is loads to explore near by but the campsite feels like it is in a different universe!
Who We Are
The Sunnyfield campsite is set in an 8 acre meadow, offering a low key campsite for tents, campervans & glamping for lovers of real camping and their families. Off grid, ecologically minded with an emphasis on bare-foot luxe, our family-run campsite is perfectly placed to offer you as much as you need.
We are tucked away in a truly special spot in the rolling hills and secret valleys of the North Kent Downs. There are beautiful places to explore and if you’re a keen walker or cyclist, it’s the perfect area to adventure with everything on your doorstep.
Proud to keep our meadows and campsite car free, guests can enjoy the large and spacious camping pitches with their very own campfire. We are one of the few campsites where each pitch has its own campfire pit where you can cook and enjoy the peace and quiet at the fireside, while you stargaze the light pollution free sky. Children can run free, and dogs are welcome.
On arrival, park up and pick up a wheelbarrow for your belongings, then wind your way to your spacious pitch cut amongst the wild grasses and buttercups. Put your feet up, light the fire, count the stars and listen to the owls. If you’re looking for relaxation in nature, you have found the perfect place.
The meadow has only 32 pitches and offers plenty of space for all with a mixture of pitch sizes to accommodate most group sizes. Uniquely we specialize in pitching a limited amount of mixed styles of camping where glamping bell tents, regular tents and campervans can all share the same space. This mix and matching availability is limited depending upon group size.
For larger groups, we are happy to accommodate your individual needs just get in touch. All pitches are pre-allocated depending upon party size.
Refreshingly understated facilities consist of very clean composting loos, cleverly-converted horse-box showers and there are standpipe taps and hand wash stations dotted around the site which supply easy access to running water and filtered water.

The SunnyField spans across 8 acres of open countryside, carefully designed to preserve its natural beauty while offering a comfortable and relaxed stay.
Each pitch is generously spaced and separated by long grass and meadow flowers, giving you privacy without isolation. Whether you’re camping, glamping, or arriving in a campervan, every stay is built around space, calm, and freedom.
We are proudly car-free, allowing children to play safely and guests to fully disconnect from the noise of everyday life. Wheelbarrows are provided to carry your belongings — a small detail that adds to the slower, simpler rhythm of the site.
Facilities are thoughtfully designed, including clean compost loos, hot showers, and washing areas — blending rustic charm with essential comfort.
Sunnyfield is a peaceful countryside campsite set in the beautiful Kent countryside, surrounded by wildflower meadows and open skies. Whether you arrive with a tent, a campervan or choose our bell tent glamping, Sunnyfield offers space, calm and evenings around real campfires.

THE EXPERIENCE
Life at The SunnyField is centred around simple, meaningful experiences.
Mornings begin with birdsong and fresh air drifting across the meadows. You might start your day with a walk through the countryside or a coffee from our small on-site café, serving freshly roasted speciality coffee.
Sunset is where the magic happens.
Each pitch has its own firepit, allowing you to cook, relax, and unwind under open skies. On weekends, we serve delicious wood-fired pizzas, creating a warm, social atmosphere while still maintaining the peaceful nature of the site.
As night falls, with minimal light pollution, the sky opens up for stargazing — a rare and beautiful experience in today’s busy world.
